March STEM Class

A small group gathered to play with a microscope; looking at fibers, the uniqueness of each person was discovered as well as how human hair fibers differ from dog, cat and synthetic fibers. Discussions on the use in solving crimes thru fiber identification were enlightening.

Susan Mitchell will be your instructor for this intermediate class. The class will be held at Seneca Free Library Community Room. Fee for the class is $30.00, which includes the pattern. Receive 10% discount on fabric and notions purchased for the class at Seneca Variety Store, downtown Seneca.

ARC Wild Returns to SFL

Who’s Eating Who? That is the question of the day when ARC Wild returns to Seneca Free Library Thursday, April 25. This program will be presented twice, at 3:30 and 5:30 PM.

Do you know where you belong in nature’s food WEB? Every meal you eat connects you to several food chains and makes you part of nature’s food web. Get hands on with some of nature’s super heroes and discover who’s eating whom. It’s a special investigative class you don’t want to miss!

*This is FREE to the public. * Class size is limited. * Recommended age level is 5 years and up. * Children under 5 will not be allowed to participate in hands on activities. * Allergy warning: Live animals will be in use. * Program starts at 3:30 and 5:30. * Choose which time works best for you. * Remember that anyone under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

We’ve Rescheduled! Mark Your Calendar!

The Habitat Sweet Home/ARC Wild programs have been rescheduled for Monday March 25! We will exploring habitats found in Kansas. There will be a program at 3:30 and another at 5:30 in our Community Room. Class size is limited and all children under 12 must have adult supervision.
