The Federal government recently announced that by March 1, 2013 all federal benefits will be paid electronically. Anyone applying for benefits will need to choose an electronic payment method at the time they apply. If you are receiving benefits by paper check, you need to set up electronic payments before MARCH 1, 2013. If you are already receiving benefits electronically, you don’t need to do anything.
